New Traffic Rules: If someone wants to drive on the roads in India, then he has to follow the traffic rules made under the Motor Vehicles Act. There is a provision of challan for violation of rules. Along with this, you can also be punished. Meanwhile, new traffic rules will be implemented in the whole of India from tomorrow i.e. 1st June.
These new traffic rules have become very strict. Especially the rules for driving for minors have been made more stringent. Now you will have to pay a hefty amount for violating traffic rules. Let’s know how much the fine has been increased. What changes have been made.
A challan of Rs 25,000 will be deducted if a minor drives a vehicle
Recently a road accident happened in Pune in which a boy and a girl lost their lives. The car in which the accident happened was being driven by a minor. This accident attracted the attention of people all over the country. So now the government has also changed the rules to be strict on driving by minors.
These are going to be implemented from 1st June. Under the new traffic rules, if any minor i.e. any boy or girl below 18 years of age is caught driving, then their parents will have to pay a hefty fine of 25 thousand rupees.
Not only this, the driving license of the person in whose name the vehicle is registered will also be cancelled. And the minor caught will not be given a license even at the age of 18. In such cases, the minor will be given a driving license when he turns 25.
The amount of these challans was also increased
Under the new rules, if someone drives under the influence of alcohol, he will be fined Rs 10,000 and jailed for 6 months. If caught again in this case, he will be fined Rs 15,000 and jailed for 2 years. Apart from this, if someone is caught driving without a driving license, then he will be fined Rs 10,000 and jailed for 2 years.
So he will have to pay a challan of 5 thousand rupees. If someone jumps the signal while driving, then he may have to pay a fine ranging from 1 thousand to 5 thousand rupees. Also, he can be jailed for 6 months or 1 year.
